The census data for Columbus, ND 58727 for year 2000 shows population of 346
and 275 housing units. That is 1.25 persons per housing unit, which tells me
that the population is leaving. The climate leaves much to be desired, hot
summers and cold winters. North Dakota top income tax bracket is 5.54%, next
door South Dakota has no income tax. Thanks anyway.

You must have scared the hell out of those people by flying over in a
light plane. I`ll bet that was the first time in many of their lives
that they ever saw a real airplane. Those folks are still busy
protecting their loved ones from the local Indian scalping parties. Did
anyone notice that the people playing golf were using a swamp buggy
instead of a golf cart? This place should be donated for the annual New
Years Bonfire.

The reason the paint looks different is because it rained sometime
between when the two pictures were taken.

Title: OWNERS BECOME RENTERS
Date: Mon, 09 Nov 2009 15:58:39 +0000
Author: nicolere

NEW YORK (Bloomberg News) – Another program has been set in motion to keep homeowners out of foreclosure. Homeowners who can’t get a loan modification may be eligible to transfer ownership to Fannie Mae and rent their home at market rates.

Homeowners must sign their deed over to the lender and be released from any second mortgages. The rental rate can be no more than 31 percent of their gross income.

Leases can be up to 12 months long, and borrowers can extend them month-to-month after that.

The program is designed to keep families in their homes and cut criminal defacement of vacant homes.
